Providers that fall into one of the license-exempt categories described above can benefit from these stimulus opportunities/activities:

These are family, friends or neighbors (FFN) who provide child care for the children of a family that receives CCCAP support. The family that receives CCCAP must specifically request the FFN provider care for their child, and the FFN provider must meet all necessary health and safety requirements.

What does it mean to be license-exempt?
In Colorado, there are three types of child care situations that do not require a license or are “license-exempt”. License-exempt child care includes care provided by a family member, friend or neighbor. Nanny shares or other informal care arrangements that families may use are also required to follow child care rules for license-exempt programs.
The three types of allowable license-exempt child care situations include:
Someone who provides occasional child care that has no pattern
Someone who cares for siblings from one family not related to the caregiver in addition to the caregiver’s own children.
Someone who regularly watches no more than four children who are not related to the caregiver, with no more than two children under the age of two
