Stabilization & sustainability Grants for all licensed child care programs

All licensed child care programs in Colorado were eligible to receive grant funding from two sources:

• Child Care Stabilization grants for operating expenses like personnel, facility costs, and supplies

• Workforce Sustainability grants for retaining current employees and recruiting new staff

New Provider Success Grant

Financial bonuses were available to support more providers to get their child care license.

Unlicensed child care providers who became newly licensed can receive a one-time $5,000 payment. Unlicensed providers who became CCCAP qualified exempt can receive $500.

Any child care provider who became licensed or CCCAP qualified exempt after March 11, 2021, including child care centers, family child care homes, and school-age child care is eligible to receive nine months of New Provider Success Grant payments.

Competitive Grants

The federal stimulus funded programs and communities the opportunity to apply for competitive grants, including Community Innovation and Resilience for Care and Learning Equity (CIRCLE) grants, which provide funds to child care providers and other partners to implement solutions for tough local child care challenges in Colorado that have been made even harder by the pandemic.
